Around early August this year, I made the choice
of taking 7 courses* this semester and here is parts of it visualized.
I had a lot of deliverables and this is what it looked like
Quite scary and diabolical looking just like this visual over here
This was based on this Radial Tidy Tree.
But having many deliverables feels different than a bunch of connected lines.
This is what having a lot of deliverables felt like.
These particles are each of the deliverables I had. The size and velocity is based on the course weight of the component. Try hovering over and getting the details here.
The small ones are hard to catch which closely resemble how easy it is for me to miss the deadline of a small task. While the big projects are there weighing down in the back of my mind.
This is how intensive each of the weeks were.

Here is a more interactable version. Have fun!
The saving grace of this semester was that all of the courses I took this semester were all interesting and taught by people who deeply cared about the subjects. So I would really recommend to take these courses, especially SOCI 303 and ANTH 399. The latter is about story telling and is closely related to this course in a way.
In fact, this last section was actually going to be a Radial dendrogram visualization about that. About how a lot of the courses have components which are closely linked to each other; even in completely different faculties.
However D3.js really is quite hard and I am out of time.
(A MESSAGE FROM OUR SPONSOR jk)
There were a lot more visuals that I wanted to create and explore with the data. However even right now I am trying to finish this deliverable so that I can move on to the next one haha. Week 16 is quite heavy.
There is just a bit of the semester left and to anyone reading this, you got this!
On a more serious note, the reason why I am having to take 7 courses is closely tied to the current immigration policy changes for international students. I am still unsure what my personal thoughts are on the changes made.
If you have made it this far, thank you for taking the time.
